Children's Ministry
welcome to calvary kids!
At Calvary Chapel Blue Ridge, your children are important members of our church family! We want your child to have fun at church while they learn biblical truths and experience God’s love in a safe and developmentally appropriate environment. Your child’s early experiences at church can have a lifelong impact on their understanding of God and their relationship with Christ, therefore, we strive to create a safe, loving environment in our nursery and children’s church, with an emphasis on providing Christ-centered Bible instruction through engaging activities at their developmental level.
Your child’s safety is our first priority! When you arrive, please check in your nursery through 5th grade children at our kiosk in the lobby. You will receive a label for each child and matching labels for parents. You must have a label with a matching number in order to pick up your child after the service. Only adults are permitted to pick up children (not older children).
Kindergarten through 5th graders will remain with parents through our worship in song. Pastor Daniel will then dismiss them for children’s church and they will exit with teachers at the back left door of the sanctuary. Children should be picked up at the children’s church room directly after the service.
We are currently engaged in a “big picture” one year study of the Bible from Genesis to Revelation! We are using the “Dig In: Bible in One Year” curriculum from Group Publishing. Children are introduced to God’s Great Plan through active learning with participatory Bible lessons, videos, games, and activities that introduce children to Christ and develop a biblical worldview.
When you check your child in, please let us know of any health issues or allergies your child has. All high-contact surfaces in the classrooms are sanitized before and after each service, and children are regularly provided with hand sanitizer. Face masks may be worn but are not required for children. Parents, please decide what is best for your child.

Nursery News!
Our nursery is open and has one staffed classroom during services. The nursery is open for babies and toddlers through Pre-K, and has been designed with many active learning centers for your child. Our staff will teach your child about Jesus and biblical truth through stories, songs, and engaging activities. You may check in your child at the kiosk in the lobby, and you may drop off your child with our staff either before the service begins, or you may take your child there after worship when the elementary children are dismissed for children’s church. You and your child will receive labels with a matching number. If we need you during the service, your child’s number will appear on the screen. You will need your matching label in order to pick up your child after the service.
If you choose to keep your baby with you, you also have the option of using our infant room at any time during the service. Our infant room is equipped with a changing table (and cleaning supplies), rocking chairs, and toys for young babies. Please place any toys your child has put in their mouth in the “dirty” bin when they are finished playing with them, and they will be sanitized after the service.
